Life is unpredictable, and sometimes unexpected expenses pop-up when there isn’t enough money in your account to cover them. Don’t worry – we’ve got your back. Our overdraft options were designed to help you avoid late fees, check bounces, or embarrassment at the register.

Overdraft Protection
Use your additional Webster First accounts to cover insufficient funds on checks, electronic and debit transactions, and ATM withdrawals. If funds to cover the transaction are available in a linked account, they will be pulled from that account. If not, the transaction will be declined (unless opted into Overdraft Privilege.)

Overdraft Privilege
Let Webster First temporarily cover insufficient funds on checks, electronic and debit transactions, and ATM withdrawals (up to $500) with no interest added. All overdrafts and fees must be repaid within 30 days*.
- $30 fee per transaction
- $500 coverage limit
- Available after 90 days of membership
- All overdrafts and fees must be paid back within 30 days to maintain eligibility
- Enrollment is automatic for check drafts and ACH (electronic) transactions
- You must opt in to receive Overdraft Privilege for ATM withdrawals and one-time debit purchases

Overdraft Protection Line of Credit
The Overdraft Protection Line of Credit kicks in when you need it most. If you overdraw your enrolled checking account, the Overdraft Protection Line of Credit will search your other accounts for funds. If no funds are found, the Line of Credit will activate to cover your purchase, bringing your enrolled checking account’s balance down to zero and your Line of Credit’s balance up to the amount needed to cover the purchase.

- Your monthly payment is based upon outstanding interest plus 3% of your principal balance, or $25, whichever is greater
